Well, the Leafs lost in overtime last night...At least they one point out of it. As Mike Komisarek said in his post game reaction, “We have to look at the positive.”
So what went wrong? Nobody can complain about the Leafs’ effort last night, Montreal was outshot and outplayed most of the game, Toronto threw over 40 shots at the net but they just had a hard time beating Carey Price. Price played really good last night and Montreal was lucky that he came ready to play.
I have been a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs all my life and I’ve read a lot of fans reactions about the game last night and it’s disgusting. After the VERY FIRST regular season game, people were complaining how awful Mike Komisarek is and that Ian White should be in the minors and that Vesa Toskala is a terrible goaltender.
It’s one game. There’s 81 more to play folks, simmer down some before you give yourself a stroke. Sure I was disappointed the Leafs didn’t get the 2 points but I am not disappointed in how the team played.
To all of the Toronto fans who really need to take a chill pill....CALM THE FUCK DOWN! If this is how you’re going to react after every time the Leafs loose, especially a spirited match like last night, then I hope you get hit in the junk with a Montreal Canadiens puck.
To all of the Leaf fans with a little more patience...GO LEAFS!
