I CAN Read Afterall

So the other night(Monday I think), I finished reading The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro & Chuck Hogan. What an awesome read, when I heard the Guillermo Del Toro was writing a book I knew it was going to be great; the man’s is a true artist in the film making world and in my opinion the novel world. To get an idea of his artistic genius have a look at winner of 3 Acadamy Awards Pan’s Labyrinth. (Love this movie)

So The Strain is about a vampiric virus circulating New York with possibility of it threatening the rest of world and threatening mankind as we know it. That’s right VAMPIRES. Not your teeny lovey vampires that sparkles like diamonds in the sunlight, but true frightening, blood sucking, human killing vampires.

This is the first full novel that I have read in years and has inspired me to get reading more. So if you like gut wrenching, nail biting, piss you pants action, drama and suspense pick up The Strain. The only thing disappointing about this story is that The Strain is the first book of a trilogy and the next one won’t be out until next year some time, and the third out in 2011.

Again, if you haven't watched this movie, check it out.

That's it for now, later.
